Masters 2024

The Masters is the most prestigious golf tournament of the year. Augusta National, the venue for the tournament, is the greatest course in the world. All the best players in the world play on the field making it so compelling for fans to watch. This year the clear favorite is Scottie Scheffler who is off a great stretch of tournaments including winning the Players and the Arnold Palmer Invitational, two highly stacked competitions. Can he go for two green jackets? Can Tiger go for his 6th? Will a LIV player win? So many questions are going to be answered when this beautiful golf holiday is played.
Why is the Masters so special? I think the reason it is so special is because of the production. The tradition of Magnolia Lane, the birds chirping, and the overall hype that Jim Nantz and other commentators bring make it so memorable. Augusta National’s back nine makes it impossible to have a comfortable victory going into Sunday. The 12th hole for example sees countless players go into the water. Jordan Speith had a commanding lead going into that twelfth hole one year and put two into the water causing him to lose that lead. The course's deep-rooted history makes viewers captivated by its lustrous aura. The course is so exclusive that almost no one from the public has ever played it. I would love to see a Brooks Kopeka victory. He was so close to winning it last year that I think he will have a chip on his shoulder. Being from the LIV golf tour, I think he will have even more to prove and he would want to get one step closer to achieving his major grand slam
