Today we are going to look at some connections between basketball, football, and soccer players. We will judge this off on play style and physical attributes.
Tom Brady, Nikola Jokic, Sergio Busquets
Some may argue that this is an unfair comparison. Tom Brady is the GOAT of his sport whereas the other two are not. However, if you look closely, they are more similar than it may seem. All are the key to their respective offenses. All are physically less capable than their counterparts in the same position. All have dominated their respective positions for some time. It is completely fair to categorize all three together.
2. Lamar Jackson, Kyrie Irving, Neymar Jr.
All have flair in their sports. Lamar Jackson has been the recent star of the NFL, acquiring two MVPs in the last six seasons and being the most prominent rushing threat in the NFL. He has revolutionized the QB position. Kyrie Irving is another player who showcases his skill. His dribbling and layup packages make him a very exciting player to watch. Neymar is just like the rest, only his peak was much higher. Neymar's skill moves are a sight to see. All three showcase their skill and athleticism despite their average body types.
3. Ray Lewis, Dennis Rodman, Sergio Ramos
The protectors. All three are dominant at their defensive positions and showcase their violent mentalities on their field/court/pitch. Ray Lewis was a dominant linebacker for the Ravens who used his positional awareness, speed, tackling ability, and physicality to shut down opposing offenses. Dennis Rodman is the greatest rebounder of all time and played amazing defense as well. Ramos is the infamous "red-card man" for his outlandish tackles and aggressive defensive players. All three players are the protectors of their team's offenses.
